During this holiday season, I have been asked to be a part of the Bowl for Kids' Sake event with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I plan on working on this during my free time this winter. This event is one of the biggest fundraisers that Big Brothers Big Sisters holds. I am so excited to get started and give back to those who work at this site. This fundraiser is to help earn money for the mentors at BBBS. A mentor is the one who volunteers for the child that is put into the program. During the rest of my time, I am hoping to volunteer with the Utah Aids Foundation at their Test Site during Mondays and Thursdays.
For the holiday season I helped a bunch of pets and people find each-other by volunteering with my community partner the Humane Society. During Christmas week most of our animals got adopted which was excellent!
Just before the students were off the the holiday break, we had one last practice where we did a white elephant gift exchange, one of the students forgot their gift so i gave her mine so she could participate. After that we announced the captains of the team in a very fun way using balloons. Last week we had practice again and to show our gratitude for getting to practice in the gym the team and I helped set up the gym for one of the basketball games and continue to help the custodians keep the building clean and thank them for all their hard work.
Be kind to one another. A smile can go a long way. Also pay it forward. Pay a meal for someone instead of you spending it on yourself. Give your time and volunteer, share your skills. Have a positive attitude all the time.

Do something to make another person smile anytime you are in a holiday line!
To sing loudly for all to here.... ok, really I wont be singing loudly. I try to spread holiday cheer by showing kindness to others and trying to remind my children of the blessings they have in life.
The best way to spread holiday cheer is ….. by giving back to those who are in need and including my family in the events. I love taking my son to Make-A-Wish events with me, he loves to help the other kids who may not be able to do everything on their own and seeing him give and not expect anything in return fills my heart.
SINGING LOUD FOR ALL TO HEAR! Haha, Be nice to all you meet! The holidays is a fun and happy time and some don't get that same experience. Be kind to everyone and serve those in need.
