Engaged Citizenship Retreat

2015 Utah Engaged Citizenship Retreat
October 15-17, 2015

The Engaged Citizenship Retreat is a dynamic, interactive event for college students and AmeriCorps members from across the state. The Retreat will invite participants to explore the multiple pathways for community engagement in which one can make social change.
Facilitators will guide both large and small groups through a series of activities and discussions designed to encourage participants to:
·         Understand who you are, define what is important to you, and explore how with that understanding you can best engage with your community.
·         Acknowledge systemic barriers to effectively partnering with community and how to overcome those barriers through deliberate action and reflection.
·         Explore and consider the potential impact and personal congruence for the multiple pathways for community engagement.
All participants must agree to participate in an inclusive, alcohol, and drug free event
