Vote for Utah Development Academy!
I have great news on behalf of myself and Utah Development Academy. I received a call from Major League Soccer headquarters that I have been selected as the 2014 MLS WORKS Community MVP representing Real Salt Lake. As the Real Salt Lake club nominee, I will compete against a local Community MVP nominee from each MLS market in an online voting contest. To vote, log on to www.MLSsoccer.com/communitymvp during the Contest Period and register by filling out the required fields and submit your vote. No limitation, vote as often as you like. Voting will begin on Friday, July 11 at 11:00am EDT and will conclude on Friday, July 25 at 4:00pm EDT. The Nominee Grand Winner will be announced via Twitter (@MLSWorks) and on the MLSWorks Soccer Page (http://www.mlssoccer.com/mlsworks) on July 25, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. EDT. The 2014 MLS WORKS Community Grand Prize winner will receive a $10,000 donation to a charity of their choice and receive an all expenses paid trip for myself plus a guest and be recognized during the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star game at Providence Park.
Additionally, the community relations department at RSL was able to set up on-field recognition before the next home game, Saturday, July 19th, through the American Express “Heroes Among Us” campaign. This is a great opportunity to raise awareness within the broader Salt Lake community (even nationally) about how soccer can be used as tool to make a difference in EVERY child’s life. Please spread the word and vote as many times as possible (there is no limit, you could vote 1,000 times or more if you wanted). If you have additional suggestions that will help us run a successful voting campaign, please let me know. As always, none of this would be possible without the continued support from volunteers that spend countless hours dedicated to UDA and the funding/donations we have received from generous foundations and individuals. I am honored to embrace this opportunity. Thank you in advance for your support and happy voting!
