Grammarphobia: Easy Tips For Better Writing
Confused by commas?  Perplexed by parentheses?  Bring your questions about writing and grammar to the Grammar Phobia workshop!  The workshop will address some of the most common grammar questions and offer strategies for recognizing and understanding the “rules” behind them. Cost: $20. Registration is required.

Take it for Grant(ed): Grant Writing BasicsDo you need money for your project or nonprofit program but don’t know where to start? Government and private funding organizations often have money to give and only require that you make a persuasive case. Join the SLCC Community Writing Center and the Main City Library for an interactive workshop on grant writing. Come with your ideas and leave with a finished draft. Cost: $100. Registration is required.

A Plethora of Poetry: Celebrating National Poetry Month
April is National Poetry Month! Join the CWC in celebrating poetry in this four-part workshop series. We’ll explore various genres of poetry, learn to compose poems, and practice writing, revising and sharing your work. You can also submit to our annual poetry contest! Cost: $60. Registration is required.

sine cera: A DiverseCity Writing Series Community Reading 
 Join the SLCC Community Writing Center as we celebrate the writers of the DiverseCity Writing Series. Come hear members of your community share their thoughts, ideas and stories at this public reading of sine cera—a community anthology. Cost: Free. No registration required.
