And we're afraid that's happening right now with our air pollution problems. Just two weeks ago, we were clawing through the filthy muck, days after 5,000 people rallied for clean air.
And, now, thankfully, a series of storms have blown through clearing our air.But now, to keep the pressure on, we need to make sure that our elected officials don't have short memories.
So that's why I'm asking you, right now, to click here to send a message to your elected officials. Please take a moment to personalize the message on that page -- tell your Senator and Representative about how dirty air effects you, your family and community.
It'll take just a minute, but make a world of difference. We're hearing that the 15+ clean air bills proposed by legislators, will be heard en masse later this week or perhaps next. It's critical that we remind them that this issue matters. (To read more about the State Legislatives session, check out my first, second and third updates from the Hill, or sign up to get those sent directly to your mail box.)
One more way you can get more involved in this year's Legislative session: Come to our annual Lobby Night this Wednesday, Feb. 12. (Aka tomorrow!) at 6:30 pm up here at the Capitol in room 130. (In the Capitol's bottom floor, just off the Hall of Governors.) Hope to see you then!
It’s a fun, informative night where we and our allies in the environmental community tell you about important bills coming up – and how you can influence the process. Click here for more details about Lobby Night: Hope to see you then!
