Alta Ski Area

Highway 210
Little Cottonwood Canyon
Alta, UT 84092
With fresh snow in the mountains and here in the valley, we invite you to join us this Friday for 'Skiing & Trees', hosted by Alta Ski Area, and a day of skiing and learning about how trees help us live, work and, play!

The morning will start with pre-public skiing session, or non-skiers can ride the lift, and meet-up for breakfast at Watson's Shelter. Enjoy an engaging panel discussion with forestry and tree experts including Steve Munson (US Forest Service), Dr. Michael Kuhns (USU) and Henry Hornberger (Solitude Mountain Resort). Topics will include an update on Utah's trees, why trees are important and lessons learned from the past. Afterwards, ride down on the lift or spend the rest of the day skiing at your leisure.
Note: Scholarships are available for students, teachers and nonprofit employees. Email volunteer@treeutah.org for more information.
We hope you'll be part of this fun event and take advantage of this great deal on a day of skiing. A single ticket is only $75 (a $185 value!) and includes pre-public skiing, breakfast and an all-day ski pass. You or your business can also consider being an event sponsor, and join Alta Ski Area and the Alta Environmental Center, Powdr and Park City Mountain Resort, Voile, Utah Department of Natural Resources, AMER Sports, Utah Conservation Corps, SkyTrac, Visit Salt Lake and Doppelmayr.
Thank you for your commitment to trees. See you Friday!
