The Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective takes thousands of donations each year and works with over 400 community partners to distribute bikes to those in need during the holiday season. We need another 6 or so volunteers to join some of our city staff at the Bicycle Collective tomorrow, Thursday Dec. 12th at 2312 S West Temple to help clean and tune bikes that are being prepped to give away. No experience is necessary. Staff will be there to show our volunteer group what to do. To RSVP, please contact Amanda Anderson at amanda.anderson@slcgov.com or 801.535.6202.

Adopt a Space Program
We have a several adopt-a-space programs available through the city where we encourage citizens and community groups to take stewardship of parks, open spaces, gardens and crosswalks. If you're interested in teaming up with friends, neighbors, or working with a community group to help beautify and conserve an area in your neighborhood, please contact Amanda Anderson at amanda.anderson@slcgov.com. Amanda can email you a list of available parks or gardens near you and what available tasks there are. This is a great fit for those looking for a regular volunteer opportunity. Whether you're interested in twice a month, once a month, or a few times a year, there are spaces we can match to your schedule.
