What?

The American Lung Association in Utah’s first annual 2011 Fight For Air Run/Walk. This event consists of a half-marathon, 10K, 5K, and walk. Half-marathon participants will begin in Holladay, running along Wasatch Boulevard. Meandering through the Olympus Hills, they will be joined by the 10K runners and jog on the newly constructed section of Parley’s Trail. The 5K runners join the pack at Tanner Park and continue along quaint, residential streets into Sugar House Park. Music, food, entertainment and sponsors’ booths await runners as they cross the finish line in the park.

We need volunteers at the event to help with traffic control, registration, food stations, starting lines, handing out medals, packet pick up, clean up, and help in the Olympic Village in Sugar House Park.

When?
Run: June 4, 2011 with volunteer shifts between 5:30am and 1:30pm
Packet pickup: June 2 and 3 at REI (3285 E 3300 S, Salt Lake) from 3:30pm-8:30pm

Where? The run winds along the base of the Wasatch Mountains, beginning in Holladay, and ending in Sugar House Park in Salt Lake. Volunteers will meet at Highland High School, Tanner Park, Olympus Hills Shopping Center, and the 6200 S Wasatch Blvd park and ride, depending on volunteer responsibilities.
