ORIENTATION/TRAINING:

There is an in-depth twelve hour training.

REQUIREMENTS:

Background check.

TIME COMMITMENT:

Volunteers should commit to six hours per month. Scheduling is flexible. Most patients like having volunteers once per week, but the average is once every two weeks.

VOLUNTEER INFO/DUTIES:

Volunteers are trained and matched with patients based on compatibility. The goal is for volunteers to manage their own schedules and enter relationships with parents at their own speed. Daniel wants the volunteers to feel comfortable.

Volunteers can do anything and everything to keep the patient company. The only thing volunteers cannot do with patients is dispense medication and tell the patient what to believe.

Start volunteering today! You can visit their website and also check out their information in The Exchange.
