International Rescue Committe: Donations Intern Needed
What? The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. The IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster.
Intern Will: Work closely with IRC's donations assistant to pick-up, organize, and deliver donation items to newly arrived refugee families who are in need of furniture, household supplies, bicycles, and other donated goods. Great opportunity for someone who wants to donate some muscle while also learning about the non-profit workplace.
Physical requirements that might exclude some participants (Must be able to lift heavy objects)
Must be available 10 hours/week, ideally Mondays and/or Fridays
