  1. The trip to the Landfill was definitely an important experience for me. I've always been somewhat aware of the need to recycle and be more conservative in using so much disposable items but seeing the site itself was really eyeopening. Being told how much of what is thrown away is recyclable is one thing, actually seeing how much paper, plastic, etc. is tossed in, is a much more meaningful experience. I will definitely be spreading the word. I hope more individuals can see what we saw.

  2. Landfill=Stellar, it is terrible we have so much trash, but it is way good they can use the methane from said trash to power thousands of homes. Which makes me wonder if it were wind energy instead of trash juice, how many more homes could we power?! Plus KSL did a report on it a few days later which is great! I also have some video to upload!

  3. Going to the landfill made me want to recycle even more. I think that we should have a guest speaker come to the SLCC campus in April for Earth Month, to talk about extending the life of our landfill by recycling.

  4. It gave me more of a perspective on how our community is taking care of our garbage. We need to help recycle more in our community, beacuse half of that landfill is filled with things that could of been recycled. I wonder if they will be able to find another area to make a landfill that is close, once that other one gets filled up? It was a great experience, I also liked how they had a power plant there.
