Join our Thayne Center Kick-off Planting Party!
What? Unfortunately, Michelle Obama will not be at our Kick-off Planting Party...but she is quite busy in her own White House garden. You, however, can join the Thayne Center for Service & Learning's Kick-off Planting Party at the new SLCC Community Garden! This garden was constructed on Earth Day 2010. We'll be planting a diverse array of seeds and want YOU to be part of it!
When? Tuesday, May 18th at 9:30am (until about 11:00am).
Where? SLCC Taylorsville Redwood Campus @ 4600 South Redwood Road. The garden is on the east side of the CT building, adjacent to Parking Lot A. (campus map: http://www.slcc.edu/locations/maps/TR_Campus_web.pdf)
Then... We will launch into a summer of garden parties! Every Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:00am, you're invited to spend time helping us grow fresh veggies! Anyone who helps is welcome to share in the harvest!
