Harmony Home Health & Hospice needs you!


About: The purpose of Harmony Home Health & Hospice is "to impact the lives of everyone we touch in a very meaningful, sincere and deliberate way, every single day." Your smile can cheer up someone's entire day!

What do volunteers do? Harmony volunteers bring their own special warmth and personalities to Home Health & Hospice patients and their families. Volunteers support the services already provide by nurses, aides, and family members. They also offer comfort and companionship. Services may include household tasks, meal preparation, reading, playing games, yard work, support, providing a listening ear, transportation, shopping & running errands.

Who can become a volunteer? Harmony volunteers are men and women of all ages and backgrounds. From th enine year old boy who plays the piano for residents of long term care facilities to the eighty-three year old woman who helps prepare meals.

What type of training is provided? Harmony offers extensive training for all volunteers. Topics include communication skills, family dynamics, home safety, personal safety, stress management, and infection control.

What are the volunteer requirements? Driver's License, Background Check
